Kate Auty

Professor Kate Auty is a Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne and a senior research fellow with Melbourne Climate Futures. She is also a member of the Steering Group of the Women’s Climate Congress and the Chair of the governing board of the Victorian EPA. Kate has held appointments as Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability in both the Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. As a magistrate and coroner in Victoria and Western Australia she has previously undertaking roles which included the establishment of Aboriginal Sentencing Courts. She also works with regional community radio in north east Victoria.
