Kate Jones, Executive Director for the Tech Council of Australia / Independent Director on the Paralympics Australia Board / Strategic Advisor at Soda
Ms Jones has more than 20 years experience in senior government and leadership positions. Kate is an Executive Director for the Tech Council of Australia and an Independent Director on the Paralympics Australia board. Kate is also a Commissioner of the Australian Rugby League Commission and on the board of the Institute of Molecular Bioscience. Kate is a Strategic Advisor at Australian tech company Soda.
Kate previously served as a Minister in the Queensland Government in a range of portfolios including State Development, Education, Innovation, Tourism, and Major Events. Throughout her ministerial career, Kate was responsible for implementing significant policy reforms including the whole-of-government’s innovation agenda, Advance Queensland and Queensland’s first climate change strategy.
Kate was also the Minister responsible for the successful delivery of the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018 and was part of the Olympic Candidature Leadership Group that secured the 2032 Olympic Games to Queensland.
